Do You Really Need a Mason Pearson Brush?

Remember that scene in “The Devil Wears Prada” where Andi brings swag for her friends (whom we can all agree now are kind of the worst, correct?) that includes “a little Clinique,” an of-the-moment Marc Jacobs purse and—a Mason Pearson Popular Brush?

I have always been absolutely blown away by the fact that no one—not one person gives one modicum of an eff about the most incredible free thing Andi brought to that table, literally and figuratively. What is that thing?

A FREE Mason Pearson brush. They are all so casual about it! Fun fact, Mason Pearson brushes are also never free—not even to Vogue editors, as the brand doesn’t, and hasn’t ever, provided gratis samples.

But that’s beside the point.

The question is, is a full-size Mason Pearson brush truly worth the sizable investment ($225+)? Or is there something else on the market that’ll do the job as well or nearly as well? Read on and find out.
