Lots to catch up on this week!
First of all, I started a second Substack (because you canāt have too many Substacks) where Iām sharing all of the things I buy as a new old mom (Iāll be 44 next month and I have a three-month old ā weāre old and new, respectively). So please subscribe if youāre into that kind of thing, and share any questions via DM!
My favorite things this week:
has a new Substack and itās full of excellent product recs ā but she also shares cool things sheās eating, wearing and reading. is another new Substack from my friend, RPZL founder (and multi-hyphenate entrepreneur Lisa Richards. Sheās going to share some juicy stories and business advice in it, and Iām here for that. Allow me to be a media Nostradamus for a moment: Brand founder Substacks will be the new content frontier. This amazingly cute and cheap (!) Gap jean jacket
turned me onto. Iām going to pair it with everything sleeveless this summer until I have time to do a GD arm workout. I envision the cost per wear will be pennies.Palm Royale on Apple+ is making me want to create a DeLorean that takes me to late ā60s Palm Beach, stat. There are few likeable characters, but the AESTHETIC. Itās taking me to a Mad Men place and I like it.
Jergens Wet Skin Natural Glow In-Shower Lotion is the quickest way to self tan these days. I was nervous about toweling off post-in-shower lotion, but
said this stuff is good and I trust everything that woman says. She was right. It gives me a nice, believable glow and I reapply it every two or three days. This marble phone holder looks way chicer and not like it costs $12, which it does.
These ruffled pajama pants are perfect for wearing out and about this summer, and Iām forever grateful to
for posting about them a few weeks ago. Also Iām obsessed with my go-to lunch these days. Tim Ferriss correctly noted that we all tend to eat the same two or three things for lunch and dinner every week and Iām eating this easy-to-make soup at least 3x a week. I just microwave some broth (chicken or veg, whatever I have) and throw in some Trader Joeās chicken wontons or vegetable dumplings, plus frozen shrimp, frozen peas and carrots and squirt in some sriracha sauce. DONE. It takes under five minutes to make and itās so delicious and healthy. Get into it and please let me know what youāre eating for lunch these days in the comments. Iām always looking for food inspo.
Letās talk InnBeauty Extreme Cream!
Have you also seen every influencer on Godās green earth discussing this stuff? Itās been readily compared to Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream and when I saw that, I thoughtā¦ Iāll be the judge of that. Thatās a bold claim, my friend. It claims to firm skin, in addition to a host of other anti-aging benefits, all for the wildly wallet-friendly price of 48 American dollars.
Anyway, Iāve tested this prettily packaged moisturizer the past few weeks and Iām ready to weigh in. If youāre a paid subscriber, you know itās a true toss-up whether I deem the products in my āDo you really needā series, well, necessary.
