🪥Do you really need the Soocas toothbrush + water flosser in one?
My unfiltered thoughts + my laundry-day essentials.
Hello!
Today we’ve got an electric toothbrush and flosser review I spent months going back and forth about before finally making that purchase.
A sponsored thing: These e.l.f. must-haves are going viral
The e.l.f. Camo Liquid Blush in Bold-Faced Lilac is doing something interesting in the purple-pink liminal space most brands are too scared to explore. It's lavender enough to feel editorial, but pink enough to actually be wearable on a Tuesday morning.
I love this supersized, supercharged sticky primer for the hottest days—the ones my friend Tamar and I refer to as DIMOS (drowning in my own sweat). Three times the formula I love. A $30 value. What’s better?
Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm
I’ve been eyeing and finally buying this rich buttery balm that delivers a wash of buildable color, high-gloss shine and a boost of hydration for soft, nourished lips. It’s got me totally off a version I’ve since run out of from Dior at a much higher price point.
Before we get into the review, I need to share a couple of laundry must-haves that have improved my life by 87%.
🧺 Laundry essentials
I’m so used to having no room for a drying rack after two decades of living in Manhattan. In fact, the Brabantia over-the-door drying rack was my laundry-day savior.
Okay. This is a real first-world problem of our new house but here it is. We love living walking distance from the beach! But I started to notice everyone’s clothes were taking… an epic poem to dry. And in the basement where the laundry IS? They wouldn’t dry at all. I remember my great aunt, who grew up in the Jersey shore (Margate, NJ) complaining about how her towels were always damp there, even right out of the dryer. And that’s the scenario here.
Enter the HangOn rack, which has become my unlikely hero. I've got it set up in my office where it's not in anyone's way. Jeans get to sprawl out like they're sunbathing, delicates have actual breathing room, and I've made peace with the fact that sometimes things just take the time they take.
It's one of those solutions that feels almost too simple to work—but it absolutely does. Sometimes the answer isn't fighting the elements; it's just giving your clothes the space and time they need to do their thing.
Dropps laundry pods in Orange Blossom
This is my new favorite detergent. The scent alone! It won me over before I even threw them in the machine. The gorgeous, fresh citrus smell makes me feel like I'm doing laundry in some Mediterranean villa instead of my slightly chaotic basement laundry room.
The pods dissolve completely (no weird residue situations), and despite being eco-friendly (I’ve been burned by formulas) these actually get my clothes clean—properly clean, not just "well, at least I tried" clean.
The scent lingers just enough to make you want to bury your face in a fresh towel, but it's not overwhelming or artificial. In other words, it never triggers the scent-induced migraines to which I’m prone. These get me excited about laundry day(s).

🪥 Do you really need the Soocas NEOS II 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and waterflosser?
Let’s talk toothbrushes. I was served an ad—many ads, actually. I was intrigued.
I was just about to replace my huge water flosser I’d purchased in 2019 (it had a good run) but I was grossed out by its tendency to get moldy. The huge water chamber was unnecessary and was impossible to air out.
I’ve also been on a years-long quest to Marie Kondo my bathroom counter. So I purchased the Soocas NEOS II 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and water flosser. Did it live up to the hype, letting me live my minimalist dreams without sacrificing my oral hygiene standards?
