Jenn C asks:

I saw that Black Lively recently launched her own hair care line — but without a single conditioner, just hair masks. Is this something I should be doing? What are your thoughts?

ICYMI: Q&A: Bleaching for the stars

Jenn! Thank you for your Q. I have so many thoughts regarding this line she called Blake Brown, a reference to her father’s ā€œmaidenā€ name (he took his wife’s name, Lively — a great choice if you ask me).

First of all, I love Blake. Her hair is my everything. She’s a fellow Westchester County resident — we love that. I haven’t tried the products, so I can’t comment on them. I will say that I’m uninspired by the packaging… but those of us who remember her short-lived Goop/Draper James site called Preserve will recognize that aesthetic.

Anywho, Blake says she uses masks only, never conditioner to keep her hair healthy, vibrant and moisturized.
