Once I started receiving gratis beauty products about 15 years ago, I shifted my go-to mood-lifting drugstore makeup purchase entirely to lingerie. A new pair of unders (this is my preferred word for them—the p-word is vile and undies just sounds stu to me) goes a long way to make a bad day good. In the last year, I’ve done a complete overhaul of my stash, buying just what I love and Marie Kondoing the rest.

Lake Atlantic-Pacific Pima Penny Shorts Set in Pomelo I discovered the wonder that is Lake pajamas in 2017 and quickly stocked up on its quarter-length sleeve tees and shorts combos in stripes of various shades. This design from Atlantic-Pacific offers what I love and adds a deeply dramatic bell sleeve. It feels like what Jeannie of “I Dream Of Jeannie” would wear in her bottle lair to sleep in. In a good way. The color combo is fun.
